African treetops style Amazing Parties

Here are some images from a private clients 60th birthday. Done in his garden, this party presented challenges in that the access was poor and the ground sloped markedly down to a small pond. This required building a large sub-structure before we could lay a floor and then build these unusual marquees.

Originating from Scandanavia, these 10m wide Kata's are normally used by the Samu reindeer herders. However, their earthy colours, the real wood poles and clever configuration fitted the theme perfectly.

We connected to the house steps with a raised bridge walkway lit by flame torches and vine/proteas wrapped rails.

Then internally the tables were dressed with zebra pattern chair covers and african style table centrepieces complete with carved african figures, lanterns and protea flowers.
